Mashiho (Hangul: 마시호, Japanese: マシホ, Chinese: 真史帆)is a Japanese singer. He is a former member of TREASURE as a vocalist and dancer.
Career[]
Early Life[]
Mashiho was born on March 25, 2001 in Mie Prefecture, Japan and is an only child to Japanese parents. He started learning dancing at the age of 5 and learned all types of dancing. On March 23, 2013, Mashiho became one of the first trainees of YG Japan. He appeared on the short film of AKMU as a barista.
2018–2019: YG Treasure Box and TREASURE 13[]
In 2018, Mashiho participated in YG Entertainment's new survival show, YG Treasure Box. At first he was not selected for the main group, TREASURE, however, on January 29, 2019, YGE announced that he would form a second group from the show, called MAGNUM, and he was chosen as one of the members. The groups would promote together as TREASURE 13, and also eventually separated as two units.
Unfortunately, due to scandals surrounding the agency, the debut was postponed.
2020: New debut plans, The First Step Series[]
On January 6, YGE posted a notice on their official website stating the group's future plans. This included re-organizing as a 12-member group and the integration of the two units, TREASURE and MAGNUM, into only one group named simply as TREASURE.
On January 30, TREASURE released a performance video for their pre-debut track, GOING CRAZY. On July 20, YG Entertainment released a teaser video and poster announcing TREASURE's debut on August 7. On August 7, TREASURE released their debut single album, THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER ONE.
On September 7, it was announced that TREASURE would be releasing their second single album, THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER TWO on September 18. On September 1, LINE FRIENDS released a teaser of TREASURE STUDIO. On October 26, YG confirmed that TREASURE would release their next single album, THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER THREE on November 6.
On December 28, YG announced that the group would release their first studio album entitled THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT on January 11, 2021. YG announced that the title track of the full album would be MY TREASURE.
2021: The First Step: Treasure Effect, Japanese Debut[]
On January 11, TREASURE released their first full album, THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT that contains all tracks from the first three chapters with the addition of 3 tracks. On January 20, the cosmetic company, MA:NYO revealed TREASURE as their new models. On January 21, YG announced that TREASURE would be releasing their debut Japanese album, THE FIRST STEP : TREASURE EFFECT which will be the Japanese version of all 12 tracks included in their first studio album with the addition of BEAUTIFUL. On February 14, TREASURE released the full version of their digital single, BEAUTIFUL which was used as an ending theme for the anime, Black Clover.
On April 29, the official merch for TRUZ was launched and the TRUZ dolls were only available for 8 hours. The dolls went sold out within a minute on South Korea and an hour worldwide.
On June 21, YG announced the release of TREASURE's official lightstick and was officially launched on June 28.
